The pinions are made of open-cell polyurehane foam (temperature range -30 ° C .... + 150 ° C) and are composed of several segments.
During the selection, it must be decided constructively whether the spur gear is to be arranged on the toothing of the rack or on the toothing of the driving pinion. Preferably, the attachment to the driving pinion is recommended, since in this case the lubricant distribution over the rack is improved. The used open-cell polyurethane foam material of the lubricating pinions ensures optimum supply of the gearing over very long periods of time. The material partially stores the lubricant and releases it again in the smallest dosing quantities. Over-lubrication is avoided as well as wear due to insufficient lubrication.
